Kirsten Velasco, the author of Cannabis Basics Textbook, is a veteran of cannabis education and outreach. She served on the board of Illinois Women in Cannabis 2015 – 2020 and provided over 150 education programs throughout Illinois. Kirsten is also the outreach manager with The Medical Cannabis Community, a Facebook community that connects patients and experts to guide and support safe cannabis access.
